Meet the Class of 2019

For this week’s article, we asked the Squadron Six class of 2019 to introduce themselves to the greater Squadron Six family. Specifically, we asked each freshman to tell everyone a little bit about who they are, why they joined the Corps, and what they like to do when they are not being a fish.

My name is Nicholas Kopan, and I am an Electrical & Computer Engineering student from my hometown of San Clemente, California. I joined the Corps of Cadets to improve my discipline, gain experiences, consistently exercise, and most importantly gain my leadership certificate. In my spare time, I like to read, write, draw, play computer games, and play with Legos.

My name is Dominik Tran and I am a Computer Science major from Denton, Texas. I joined the Corps of Cadets because of my interest in commissioning into the United States Air Force through the unique Corps experience that is only available at Texas A&M. During my free time I enjoy games and hanging out with friends.

Howdy, my name is William Onderdonk, and I’m from Spring Branch, Texas. I am currently studying basic engineering here at A&M and hope to move into Aerospace Engineering. I joined the Corps of Cadets for the discipline, structure and in order to pursue my dream of contracting into the Air Force. In my free time I enjoy fishing, flying and participating in trap and skeet events.

My name is Mollie Campbell. I'm from Blackjack, Texas and I am majoring in International Studies. I joined the Corps to gain leadership skills that are applicable in the real world as well as develop myself as a person. I enjoy bible studies with friends, watching old movies, and rock climbing.

My name is Spencer French. I'm from Laguna Niguel, California, and I am majoring in Aerospace Engineering. I joined the Corps to contract with the Air Force and hopefully become a pilot. In addition, I came to the Corps because I wanted to gain a unique leadership experience. In my free time I enjoy playing lacrosse, and working towards attaining my Private Pilot’s License.

Howdy, my name is KC Landry and I'm from Normangee TX. I'm currently a general engineering student here at A&M, and I joined the Corps of Cadets because I knew that it would develop me into a respectable person. Some things that I enjoy are traveling to new places and learning new things.

Howdy! My name is Adrian Ramirez. I was born in San Antonio, Texas, but I've been an Air Force military brat my whole life, so I've called many places home. I joined the Corps of Cadets to better myself as an individual and prepare myself for all the challenges that lie ahead. I hope to Commission into the Air Force and get a job where I'll work as a liaison between our military and the militaries of other nations that host U.S Air Bases. I'm majoring in international studies and my hobbies include golf, table tennis, going to my student organization meetings, and playing video games.

My name is Shawn Ervin, I am from Flower Mound, Texas, and I am planning on majoring in Mechanical Engineering here at A&M. The reasons that I joined the Corps are the inspirational Corps experiences of my family friends, my value on having a strong structure in life, and because I thought that it would lead me towards personal development. Normally in my free time I read, communicate with people from back at home, or I simply enjoy the time that I am not being yelled at by the sophomores.

My name is Jacob Hartmann, and I'm from Fredericksburg, TX. I want to be either a Mechanical or Aerospace engineer, but I'm currently enrolled in general engineering. I'm in the Corps of Cadets because I've always wanted to attend A&M University and I've always wanted to live in a military

type atmosphere, so A&M seemed to be the place for me. I also joined the Corps to figure out whether or not I want to go into the Air Force. This is because I've always wanted to work for NASA, so if I do go into the Air Force as an engineer, my next goal would be getting a job with NASA. In my free time, I enjoy fishing, hunting, and hanging out with friends.

My name is Nicolas Niazian, I'm from Houston, Texas, and I'm majoring in History. I joined the Corp of Cadets because I intend to commission as an Air Liaison Officer in the United States Air Force. I

enjoy playing soccer, rugby, and cricket as well as gaming in my free time. I also am a science fiction enthusiast and enjoy writing short stories.

In my free time I like to hang out with friends, play at the recreational center, and sleep when I get the chance.

Howdy, my name is Bethany Bell, I come from Richardson, Texas, and I am currently majoring in Sociology. I joined the Corps of Cadets in order to become a better person and athlete, and because I believe that my experiences in the Corps will help me get a career in law enforcement as a criminal profiler when I leave here. In my free time I enjoy swimming, art, video games, cooking, knitting, sewing, reading, and rock climbing.

My name is Samuel Taylor Allgood, I'm from Crowley, Texas, and my major is Agribusiness. I, joined the Corps to ensure that my freshman year is an academic success, to learn the values hard work and respect, and to participate in something much bigger than myself. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, and pretty much anything to do with the outdoors.

My name is Alexander Talley, I am from Celina, TX, and I am currently majoring in Construction Science. I joined the Corps to improve my discipline and gain leadership skills in order to prepare myself for the future. In my free time, I care to ride four-wheelers, fire weapons, spend time with my friends, and strengthen relationships.

My name is Andrew Patterson, and I am originally from Yukon, Oklahoma. I came to Texas A&M University to study Engineering, although I have not decided on a particular field yet. I joined to Texas A&M University Corps of Cadets because of the challenges it provides and the principles it teaches. During my free time, I like to do karate, read, and bind books.

My name is Carlos Graybill, I come from McAllen, Texas, a city 10 miles away from the U.S.-Mexico Border, and I am an engineering major hoping to focus on Nuclear Engineering specifically. I joined the Corps because I was impressed with how both current and former Corps members respect one another and hold the traditions of A&M dear. Ultimately, their example motivated me to join them as a keeper of the spirit. With my free time I care to play sports such as soccer or basketball, or sometimes I just simply care to work out.

My name is Alexander Jack Wright. I am from Tyler, TX and am majoring in Biology.
